Casinos. Money. Winnings. Lights. Shows. All of these things come to mind when you think about Las Vegas.
Technology. Innovation. Inspiration. Thought leaders. These are also what come to mind when you think about UNLEASH.
Put the two together and you have 2018’s UNLEASH conference held in warm, sunny, Las Vegas, Nevada!
UNLEASH Day One
Today marks day number one of the event. Gary Hamel, began the morning with his presentation on “Humanocracy: Creating Organizations as Amazing as the People Inside Them." He discussed how companies of tomorrow will end the old re-organization methods and embrace innovation instead of cultural renovation as a start-up moves from infancy to maturity.
A few other sessions to note for the day are Josh Bersin, Founder of Bersin by Deloitte, Sjoerd Gehring, Global VP of Talent Acquisition at Johnson & Johnson, and Candice Morgan, Head of Inclusion & Diversity at Pinterest.
Chris Louie, SVP of Talent at Nielsen, and Daniel Francis, Senior Product Manager at LinkedIn, will be providing a product demo to showcase how to build a more effective talent strategy by incorporating data into the equation.
Many others are taking the stage to relay their ideas on the future of HR work and its marriage with technology and big data.
UNLEASH Day Two
Tomorrow, Google X’s former Chief Business Officer, Mo Gawdat, will stand to exploit the importance of employees’ happiness in the workplace. It’s utterly important for managers and the HR team to stimulate and promote a culture of joyful and thriving individuals as happy employees directly translate to a successful company.
Katelin Holloway, Kristen Robinson, and Katarina Berg, VP of People & Culture at Reddit, CHRO at Pandora Music, and CHRO at Spotify respectively, will be sure to dominate the stage in a panel discussion about empowering women in the tech field.
Strewn throughout the day there will be product demos, individual breakouts from the main speakers, and of course the expo where all vendors are ready to talk to any and all who want to meet.
If you’re hungry for more, go check out UNLEASH’s website to see the full agenda for both days. And if you’re there now, come see some friendly faces at Phenom People’s booth at 514.
