We are starting to see many of the talked about future of work trends coming to life every single day: the evolution of the “office” space; the growing gig economy; and the skills needed for the future.
There’s no shortage of articles out there detailing the changing work landscape and the scary future that’s going to come along with it. If you search for articles on the future of work, you’ll find titles like these: “How to Prepare Your Kids for Jobs That Don’t Exist Yet,” and “These Are the 5 ‘Super Skills’ You Need for Jobs of the Future.”
While there’s definitely truth to many of these articles, they really talk about the future as the future. And guess what? The future is upon us, and we really need to be talking about what you should focus on now. Like me, you’re probably sick of hearing about these trends, but I have some new and different information to add to the mix.
