Workday Rising is right around the corner. Taking place from October 9-12, 2017 in Chicago, it’s Workday’s annual gathering of customers, prospective customers, partners, and employees that collaborate and learn how Workday helps organizations achieve their growth objectives and prepare for the future. From making new connections to learning how to overcome business challenges, Workday Rising will be an amazing time for everyone involved.
We’re incredibly excited to attend this year’s event because we are an exhibitor and there’s a great line up of speakers and sessions on the agenda. If you’re planning on attending, here’s a look at some of the sessions and key happenings you shouldn’t miss out on.
Calling all Broncos fans
In the opening keynote at Workday Rising, Peyton Manning will be joined by his dad to discuss inspirational stories from his extensive experience fostering teamwork, and leading a team to ultimate victory in Super Bowl 50. ESPN on-air personality Hannah Storm will be moderating the session, which promises to be nothing short of inspiring.
Embracing change in today’s business environment
Anytime an organization chooses to deploy a new technology, it becomes difficult for all employees to immediately embrace the changes outside of their normal operations. In the Workday Rising session, “Change Management Best Practices and Lessons Learned from Driving Employee Adoption,” panelists from Pfizer and American Family Insurance will discuss best practices and lessons learned from their change management strategies and approaches.
Getting hands-on with employee engagement
Enhancing the employee experience and increasing employee engagement are both key initiatives for organizations moving into 2018. At Workday Rising, several hands-on labs will be provided to encourage a unique learning environment for HR professionals. In the interactive lab, “Maximize Employee Engagement—Fully Leveraging the Workday Technology Platform,” solution architects at Workday will show users how to maximize Workday to excite employees with more personalized and easy-to-use applications.
The evolution of the work landscape
Join HR leaders from Kohl’s and Convergys, as well as Ashley Goldsmith, chief people officer at Workday, in the business leader forum, “Next-Generation People Practices,” as they talk about the changing work landscape. The panel discussion focuses on how companies are rethinking their approach to learning and career development in order to meet the needs of a diverse employee population comprised of multiple generations, needs, and wants.
The Workday Rising party will be “B-A-N-A-N-A-S”
This year’s Workday Rising party will be an epic celebration of Workday’s appreciation for its customers attending the event. After all, who wouldn’t want to go to an amazing party featuring three-time Grammy award winning singer Gwen Stefani?
These sessions and happenings are only brief glimpses into what is set to be an unforgettable event this year. Workday Rising offers many other sessions, hands-on labs, and opportunities to network with like-minded and inspirational professionals in the HR and finance fields.
