Panel: 2021 Labor Markets & Their Impact on the Future of Work

The US is experiencing extraordinarily tight labor markets right now. Post-pandemic hiring is escalating — creating the most challenging recruiting environment we’ve seen since Jobcase or Phenom began. This is a new reality for hiring throughout 2021, and choices made this year could have a big impact on the future of work.

With the unemployment rate at 6% and initial unemployment filings still high, one would think it would be easy to fill open roles. The reality is that workers — for a variety of reasons — seem to be slow to respond, causing bottlenecks for hiring in many industries and pricing for talent to increase.

Watch the panel discussion with Mahe Bayireddi, CEO and co-founder of Phenom, Fred Goff, CEO and founder of Jobcase, and Joe Fuller, Professor of Management Practice at the Harvard Business School for insight that can help employers navigate these challenging times.
